Footsteps of Paul Cruise/Tours will bring to life Paul’s missionary journeys throughout the eastern Mediterranean. The itinerary below is an example of a cruise/tour your group can join as well. There is space available for the Footsteps of Paul Cruise/Tour in October 2024 and in May 2025. Days 1-4 Footsteps of Paul Cruise/Tour
Depart from any major US airport to Athens, Greece
Cruise/Tour Dates
You will be greeted at the airport in Athens, Greece, enjoy a bus tour of the city and if time allows, ride a tram to the top of Mount Lycabettus for a beautiful view of the city. Overnight in Athens, the next two days include visits to Corinth, the Corinth Canal, the Acropolis, Mars Hill and the ancient agora in Athens. In the afternoon, board your cruise ship to begin the cruise portion of our journey!
Days 5-7 Footsteps of Paul Cruise/Tour
Enjoy the luxury of the cruise, the devotionals onboard, & Mykonos and Cyprus
Cruise/Tour Dates
Our first stop is Mykonos, a beautiful Greek island to explore on your own for amazing iconic pictures. A day at sea will include devotionals through the book of Acts and a time to enjoy the ship. Then on to Cyprus, the island of Barnabas. Paul and Barnabas preached the Gospel throughout this beautiful island. We have a six-hour excursion planned for our visit to Cyprus.
Day 8 - Footsteps of Paul Cruise/Tour
Jerusalem

The ship will port in Ashdod from where we meet our guide and driver. In Jerusalem, we visit the Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, City of David, Hezekiah’s tunnel, Pool of Siloam, Western Wall, and more.
Day 9 - Footsteps of Paul Cruise/Tour
Galilee
Cruise/Tour Dates
Today our ship docks in Haifa and we explore Galilee to see the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus taught the Sermon on the Mount, Capernaum, where Jesus did most of His miracles and the home of the Apostle Peter. We also visit Magdala, enjoy a wooden boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and visit Mount Carmel if time permits.
Days 10-12 Footsteps of Paul Cruise/Tour
Days at Sea and Crete
Cruise/Tour Dates
Our ship travels eastward toward Crete. While onboard for a day at sea, enjoy devotionals through the book of Acts and a time of worship. There will be free time to explore and enjoy the amenities of the cruise ship. At Crete, you will have opportunity to explore on your own or join a ship excursion. Paul established several churches on this island, overseen by Titus. It was under the shelter of Crete than Paul sailed on his way to face Caesar in Rome.
Days 13-14 Footsteps of Paul Cruise/Tour
Naples and Rome
Cruise/Tour Dates
You will have time to explore Naples on your own or join a ship excursion in southern Italy’s largest city. There is an interesting connection to Pontius Pilate near here, at the island of Capri. It is part of the back story of why Pilate granted that Jesus be crucified that day.
The ship docks in Civitavecchia near Rome. Those not selecting the Rome extension will be transferred to the airport at Rome for departure to the US.
Optional Day 1 - Footsteps of Paul Cruise/Tour
Rome, Italy

For those who select the optional extension into Rome, you will be greeted by our driver and bus as we explore Rome to see the catacombs, the Roman Coliseum, the ancient Roman Forum, the Arch of Titus, Mamertine Prison exterior, and a downtown walking tour – including Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and the Spanish Steps. Then on to the place where Paul was believed to be executed, followed by St. Peter’s Square and an optional visit to the Vatican and Basilica. Depart to the US on the morning of Day 3 and enjoy the memories of a lifetime!

Rome, Italy

For those who select the optional extension into Rome, we begin Day 2 with a downtown walking tour – Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and the Spanish Steps. Then on to the place where Paul was believed to be executed, then to St. Peter’s Square and an optional visit to the Vatican and Basilica. Depart to the US on the morning of Day 3 and enjoy the memories of a lifetime!
